The Kloof Street congregation hosts 12 mid-week small groups. Small groups are a great way to enjoy community, build friendships and live life together.

Ken's story

“It wasn't an easy decision to take on leadership of a Life Group at Jubilee - I think failure was the first thing on my mind. Working in the hospitality industry and managing a large team often means long hours so I was concerned that it would make leading a group difficult.

Looking back on these ten months now, we have no regrets. We have an amazing, diverse group that has grown to around 20 regulars!

Selfishly - the opportunity to lead the group has helped me to get to know a number of new people. I love how we are from such diverse backgrounds and can have robust conversations around the Word. The vulnerability of the group is refreshing; sharing openly our doubts or lack of understanding - admitting we don't know everything, but coming to the Father for wisdom.”

Ken and Jen’s story is one of many beautiful stories of how life groups are impacting and challenging us as a community

to dig deeper into Jesus . We look forward to another year of God’s faithfulness.

A note from Lester Pillay

It has been an exciting year for the Kloof Street lifegroups. We have seen our people grow in their faithfulness and find real community as they do life together. As a leadership team, we started the year trusting God to add four new groups

to the existing posse of life groups at the Kloof Street congregation. By his grace we celebrate new groups in Claremont and Hout Bay! We have also seen a number of new people stepping up to lead groups which has been exciting.  Ken and Jen Walton are two such leaders who have taken the reigns of their group after the original leader followed a work opportunity to Germany.
